Our Story

Crafted by hand in Louisville, Kentucky

From the very beginning, photographs were printed. Memories captured with cameras were stored in boxes, folders, books, and albums. At RedTree, it is our mission to carry on this tradition.

Even as our times become increasingly more digital, we believe that the experience of print is worth preserving. Your images deserve to live within the mats of a frame or inside the pages of an album. And, your clients deserve an experience beyond scrolling, liking, and downloading. By partnering with RedTree, you can add value to your client experience and bring in added revenue for your business.

Craftsmanship

There’s nothing quite like the look and feel of a RedTree Album. Through intensive testing and intentional sourcing, we landed on what we believe to be the highest quality materials. With leather cover materials coming from trusted Italian manufacturers and linens being 100% pure, it’s love at first touch. Opening the album, you’ll find your photos come alive on any one of our chosen paper options. To experience a RedTree Album is to experience craftsmanship.

History

Back in 2005, our founder Josh Perkins was a wedding and portrait photographer struggling to find album options that matched his standards for quality. As a natural innovator, he began creating his own. In these early days, each album was printed, pressed, and blocked in his kitchen exclusively for his own clients. Though the books had humble beginnings, clients and friends could see they were different, something special. More and more photographers began asking Josh to create albums for their clients, and the idea of RedTree Albums began to form. For Josh, redirecting from photographer to album maker came in time. As for RedTree, it grew into what we have today: a workshop full of artists with the mutual goal in mind, to create beautiful books full of memories to pass from generation to generation.
